The Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) is an affordable health insurance plan that serves Hoosier adults between the ages of 19–64. This plan also includes pregnant women.
You may qualify for MDwise HIP coverage if you are an uninsured Indiana resident between the ages of 19-64, are not eligible for other Indiana Health Coverage Programs or Medicare and meet the income requirements.
You can switch to MDwise during the selection period running from November 1 to December 15. Call 844-389-5736 and say you want to switch to MDwise. This will be your plan for 2018. Please note: you can’t change your health plan online. You can only do this by calling.
There are three ways to enroll if you are uninsured:
If you are uninsured, you can enroll in HIP at any time. If you already have HIP, you can switch to MDwise during the new health plan selection period from November 1 to December 15.
MDwiseREWARDS is a program that lets you earn points to pay your POWER Account contribution or to get FREE gift cards. HIP members are automatically enrolled. You earn points by completing simple activities such as signing up for myMDWise, answering questions about your health and getting an annual check-up.
